Team Practice Schedule for September 10 - September 15

6 weeks down with 6 to go before region and state championships! We are halfway done!

With the heat back on please make sure and bring a water bottle with you to school and hydrate all day long! Your training will be much easier if you are hydrating!

Monday, September 10 @ 5:15 PM at Lions Park. Prior to the start of practice we will have team pictures. PLEASE REMEMBER TO WEAR YOUR UNIFORM FOR THE TEAM PICTURES! The workout is a 60-minute training run for all runners. All runners should be making a good effort in aerobic range on this run, and should still be able to talk in sentences (listen to your body). We finish the workout with 4 strides on the grass and 10 minutes of core work

Tuesday, September 11 @ 5:00 PM at the Moab Golf Club. 20 minute easy run, followed by 3 x 5 minute tempo runs with 2 minute jog recovery between each. We then complete 4 x 200 fast downhill sprints with a 200 meter jog recovery between each. We complete the workout with an easy 10 minute cool down jog.

Wednesday, September 12 @ 5:00 at Rotary Park. 20 minute easy run followed by 8 x 45 second uphill sprint repeats with 2 minute rest between each. We finish the workout with an easy 20 minute cool down jog. 

Thursday, September 13 @ 5:00 PM at Sand Flats. 45 minute trail run on the Slickrock bike trail followed by 15 minutes of form drills.

Friday, September 14 @ 2:30 Homecoming Parade! Captains will have details at practice this week. After the parade at 4:00 PM we board the bus for the BYU Invitational on Saturday.

Saturday, September 15.  BYU Invitational held at the East Bay Golf Course in Provo, UT. First race (Frosh/Soph boys) is at 8:00 am, with the last race (JV Girls) at 11:45. We will stop for lunch on the way home, and should return to Moab at around 5:00 PM.
