Below are the official results from the State Meet held in Salt Lake City at Sugarhouse Park on Wednesday October 19. The times from the Highland Invitational held on August 26 on the same course are in parentheses.

State Meet

The state cross country meet will be held on Wednesday October 19, 2011 at Sugarhouse Park in Salt Lake City. Race times are 12:00 for girls and 1:00 for boys.

The team will leave for Salt Lake City on Tuesday October 18 right after school. We will be traveling in a school car and in a suburban.

We will be staying at the La Quinta Inn in Midvale on Tuesday night. The phone number at the hotel is (801) 566-3291. When we arrive in Salt Lake City we plan to go for a short run and then out to dinner before returning to the hotel for the night.

Wednesday morning we will have breakfast at the hotel and then leave for the meet at 9:30; arriving at Sugarhouse Park at around 10:00. After the meet we will have lunch in Salt Lake City and then head back to Moab. We should be back in Moab between 6:00 and 7:00.

Just a reminder - if you plan on leaving after the meet with your parents please have your parents write a note and give it to both the office and to a coach letting us know that you will not be traveling home with the team. Thanks!

The cross-country team will be having a team spaghetti dinner on Monday October 17 at 6:30 pm in Coach Christa's room in the Tech Center. Please make plans to attend.

Region Meet

Our region meet is scheduled for Tuesday October 10 in Richfield.

The bus will leave the school at 11:30 am. We will stop at Subway in Green River for lunch on the way to Richfield.

The girls race at 4:00; the boys at 4:30.

After the race we will stop for dinner in Richfield. We should arrive back to the High School at around 9:00 pm.

Team Dinner

The cross-country team will be having a team spaghetti dinner at Mary Rice's home on Monday October 10 at 6:30 pm. Mary lives at 520 Kiva Drive, right across from the High School. Please make plans to attend.

Practice Schedule - Week 10

One more week until the region meet - let's have a great week of practice! Practice this week will be every day from 3:00 - 4:30 on the track. We have a full schedule of workouts planned to prepare us for the region meet so please plan on attending each day.
