Here is the practice schedule for the third week of practice. We continue to build strength, stamina and speed with a combination of long runs and speed work on the track. Friday is a shorter run as we prepare for the Palisades Peach Fest Run Saturday morning.
Thursday night August 18 from 6:30 - 8:30 we will meet at Coach Randy's house for a team BBQ. Coach's will also meet with runners that night to set individual goals for this season and handout uniforms.
Monday August 15: 6:00 - 7:30 am on the track. 3 mile run and short hill repeats at the cemetery.
Tuesday August 16: 6:00 - 7: 30 am on the track. 45 minute medium run.
Wednesday August 17: 6:00 - 7:30 am on the track. Interval speed training on the track.
Thursday August 18: 6:00 - 7: 30 am at City Park (400 North and 100 West). We will warm-up at the park and then jog over to Sunset Grill for long hill repeats up the hill at Sunset Grill. We finish with a jog back to the park.
Thursday August 18 - Team BBQ at Coach Randy's house (339 McGill behind HMK school) from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
Friday August 19: 6:00 - 7:30 am on the track. Short 3 mile run as we prepare for Saturday's 5k race.
Saturday August 20: Palisades Peach Fest 5K race in Palisades Colorado.
