Team Practice Schedule for August 13 - August 18

2 weeks down - 10 to go to State!

Monday, August 13 @ 6:00 AM at Lions Park. 60-minute training run for all runners. All runners should be making a good effort in aerobic range on this run, and should still be able to talk in sentences (listen to your body). We finish the workout with 6 strides on the grass and 10 minutes of core work.

Tuesday, August 14 @ 6:00 AM at the Moab Golf Club. A 20-minute warm-up run, followed by 17 minutes of ladders - 1 minute Race Pace; 1 minute easy; 2 minute RP; 2 minute E; 3 minute RP; 3 minute E; 2 minute RP; 2 minute E; 1 minute RP.  We finish with an easy 10-minute cooldown run

Tuesday, August 14 @ 8:00 AM. Team members meet at Rotary Park for our first annual run with the dogs! Team members will run with the shelter dogs from the Moab Animal Shelter. This event is a way for the team to provide a service to our community, and give the shelter dogs some fun exercise. The event is coordinated by senior captain Sadie Farnsworth. We will be finished at the park at around 9:00 am.

Wednesday, August 15 @ 6:00 AM at Rotary Park. 45-minute training run for all runners. We finish the workout with 8 strides on the grass and 15 minutes of core work.

Thursday, August 16 @ 5:00 PM at Sandflats. 10 minutes of form drills followed by an easy 30-minute run.

Friday, August 17: First meet of the season - The Highland Invitational in Sugar House Park in Salt Lake City! Team members will be dismissed from school at 7:45 am to board the bus. BRING YOUR HOMEWORK WITH YOU TO DO ON THE BUS! We will stop for lunch on the way to the meet. The first race of the day (Freshman Boys) is at 2:00, while the last race of the day (Girls Varsity) is at 5:10. After the meet, we will stop for dinner before heading back to Moab. We should be back at the High School at around 11:00 pm.

Saturday, August 18 @ 9:00 am at Lions Park. 50-minute training run for all runners.
