Here is the practice schedule for our second week of practice.
We have six scheduled practices this week - one each day Monday - Saturday. Practice time changes starting on Thursday with school starting that day.
Monday August 12 @ 6:00 am: Medium run for all runners - approximately 4 - 4 1/2 miles.
Tuesday August 13 @ 6:00 am: 3 mile timed run
Wednesday August 14 @ 6:00 am: 5k effort
repetitions (speed work) on the track. 4 x 200 meters; 4 x 400 meters; 4
x 200 meters. 100 meter recovery walk between repetitions.
Thursday August 15 @ 7:00 pm: 4 mile timed tempo run at 80% of 3 mile effort.
Friday August 16 @ 7:00 pm: 12 x 200 meter at 3k effort with 100 meter recovery walk between repetitions.
Saturday August 17 @ 7:00 am: Our first Saturday morning pancake run. Meet in the parking lot at Denny's at 7:00 am. We will run four 1 mile repeats before having a team pancake breakfast at Denny's.
First meet is scheduled for Thursday August 22 at Sugar House Park in Salt Lake City. Let's have a great week of practice to prepare for our first meet!
