Team Practice Schedule for October 8 - October 13

Region Championship this week, State Championship next week. How did this season go by so fast?

Monday, October 8 @ 5:00 PM at the Moab Golf Club.  To prepare for the region championship race to be held on our home course on Tuesday, today we will run our 3 mile home course. We finish with two-200 meter downhill repeats on hole 1.

Tuesday, October 9 at the Moab Golf Club. Region Championship races at the Moab Golf Club! Team members will be released from school at 1:40 (right after lunch) and have the option to ride the bus or drive their own car to the golf course. The bus will leave from in front of the High School at 1:55 pm. All team members must be at the course by 2:15 pm. The races begin with the girls' race at 4:00 pm followed by the boys' race at 4:30. Following the awards ceremony, all team members must participate in sweeping and cleaning the course

Wednesday, October 10 @ 5:00 at Rotary Park. The workout is a 40-minute recovery run for all runners. We finish the workout with 4 strides on the grass.

Thursday, October 11 @ 5:00 PM at the HS track. 5k effort repetitions. After a one mile warm-up, we complete 4 x 1,000 @ 3-mile pace on the grass. We focus on consistent pacing; surging turns and our kick on the last 250 meters. 4-minute recovery between reps. We finish the workout with a one-mile cooldown.

Friday, October 12 @ 2:15 at the HS track. TBA

Saturday, October 13 @ 9:00 am at Lions Park. Easy 5-mile run followed by 4 strides. It is important to keep your legs moving over the weekend prior to the State Championship race on Wednesday.
